Partners for nearly 60 years, John, 86, of Arvada, Colorado joined Gloria in Eternal Life on November 14, 2018.
He was a very devoted and supportive caregiver to his wife and cared deeply for his family's well-being. Having celebrated the Marine Corps' 243rd birthday a few days prior to his passing, John was a proud veteran of the United States Marines and supported our military in many ways. He could generally be seen wearing his Marines hat, unless he was sporting his uniform hat associated with the Olive Garden, having worked at the restaurant over 23 years in various locations. John enjoyed hard candies very much, which may have just made him ornerier. John also treasured Snoopy dog, the Peanuts character.
John is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Gloria; parents, Walter and Genevieve (McCarty) Adams; and sister, RoseMary Price. He will be missed by his children, Lorraine Adams (Anthony Daniel), Sean Adams (Misty), Jennifer Rose Schneider (Todd Schneider), Karen Adams (Raul Cruz) and Heather Adams (Kevin Myer); grandchildren, Michael, Nick, Joshua, Kyle, Jayce, Devin, Ashley, and Gabriel; ten great grandchildren; siblings, Genevieve C. Merrill and Patrick J. Adams; and his friends.
A Funeral Mass honoring John will be on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, beginning at 10:30 AM, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 12735 West 58th Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado 80002. Committal services will take place in the future at the National Cemetery honoring John's military service.
