John Aam, 76, Columbus, Dies
Columbus - John Aam, 76, Columbus area resident and former McCone County resident, died Friday at Stillwater Community Hospital. He had been ill with cancer 10 years.
Mr. Aam was born in Norway in 1888 and came to the United States in 1903, first to Miles City and later to a homestead south of Fraser in McCone County. He married Marie Florence E. Gustafson Sept. 6, 1917 at Glendive. They moved to the Stillwater Valley two miles north of Absarokee in 1957.
Surviving are the widow; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Berg of Absarokee, and Mrs. Hannah Finnbrud of Oslo, Norway.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Lutheran Church at Wolf Point with the Rev. David Larson officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery at Wolf Point with Clayton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Cashmore Memorial Chapel directed arrangements in Columbus.
