Rebecca "Becky" Adams Harper, 78, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Cola Hanes and Myrtle Raby Adams.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 58 years, Tommy Harper; her daughters and sons-in-law, Denese and Ric Duncan of Radcliff, Ky, Mandy and Bob Andrew of Gastonia, and Amy and Giles Craig of Belmont; grandchildren, Caleb(Breann), Levi, and Seth Duncan, Logan Andrew(Nikki), Adam Andrew, Kendall Craig, and Mason Craig; sisters, Martha Wiggins of Belmont, and Hazel Long of Fletcher, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, G.T. and Jack Adams; sisters, Louise Ledford and Betty Holcomb.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia Founders Chapel with Rev. Jan Deans officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm-2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 5008 S. New Hope Rd., Belmont, NC 28012. McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia is serving the Harper Family.
