Edna Louise Ledford, 79, of the Shoal Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, October 10, 2010 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Cola and Myrtle Raby Adams.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ledford; and two sons, Danny Ledford and wife Judy, and Tommy Ledford.

She is survived by her grandson, Brain Ledford and his wife, Lindsay of Manchester, TN; great grandchildren, Lauren, Daniel, and Cody; brothers, George T. Adams of Bryson City, Jack Adams of Sylva; and sisters, Martha Wiggins of Belmont, NC, Becky Harper of Belmont, NC, Betty Holcombe of Sylva, and Hazel Long of Fletcher, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Ray Ball officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

A private burial will be held at a later date.

The family request that memorials be made to the Union Hill Cemetery Fund c/o Freda Brown, 434 Whittier School Road, Whittier, NC 28789.
