Harold LeRoy Abbott, 81, of Tyrone, OK passed away on Sunday May 16, 2021 at the Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

He was born on November 7, 1939 to Clyde and Jaunita (Towner) Abbott at Elkhart, KS; he was also the Step Son of Ward Trim.

On April 9, 1958 he married Katherine "Kathy" Burgan at the Guymon, OK; together they raised 5 children.

Harold was an over the road truck driver for 35 years. Harold and his wife Kathy owned H &K Escort Pilot Vehicle Service; retiring in 2020 after 13 years. He was an avid gardener and loved to tinker. Harold also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children. He was a lifetime member of NRA.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Kathy, Four children, Sandy Harrington of Turpin, OK, Deborah Ranard of Upper Marlboro, MD, Steve Abbott of Tyrone, OK, Ronald Abbott of Colorado Springs, CO; Sister, Ruth Edwards of Colcord, OK. 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step father, Son, Clyde Abbott, Grandson, Russell Abbott, Sister, Erma Jean Robison, and Son in Law, Paul Harrington


A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021, 11:00 am at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, KS.
