Daisy Newton Abbott passed away on June 12, 2021. Daisy was born on February 8, 1953 to the late Howard and Annie Hailey Newton.

Daisy is survived by her husband, Ted H. Abbott; her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Crystal Abbott; her three grandchildren, Lindsey Hicks (Taylor), Michaela Roberts, and Harley Abbott; her great-granddaughter, Olivia Hicks; her brother, Charlie Newton; stepsister, Brenda Ferrell; and nieces, Becky, Angie, Peggy, and Wanda.

Daisy was very caring person, who gave much of her life to looking out for others, whether it be babysitting when she was younger or ministering with food to those in a time of need. She was a dedicated wife and mother that loved her family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 1:00 – 2:00pm at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held at 2:00pm with Reverends Carl Hunter and Spencer Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
