Clara McMahan, Greensburg, daughter of the late Jack Acree and Ella Garrison Acree, was born Sept. 13, 1910 in Green County and departed this life Saturday, Feb. 14 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. McMahan had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Worldwide Church of God. She was retired from Kings Daughters Nursing Home and was a homemaker. McMahan was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Randall McMahan, Joseph McMahan and Donna Simon; one great-grandchild, Randall McMahan Jr.; and two brothers and a sister, Austin Acree, Molly Acree and Hulse Acree. Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Roscoe Rock of Florida, Linko and Zona Rock, Center, Charles and Juanita Rock, Louisville, and Myles and Karen McMahan of Florida; two daughters and a son-in-law, Eva McMahan of Indiana, Blenda and David Pickett, Greensburg; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Dr. Gary Ervin officiated. Pallbearers: Richard McMahan, Michael McMahan, Gary Rock, Jeff Pickett, Daniel Webb, Kirk Organ, Chase Webb and Nelson McMahan. For online condolences: www.cowherdandparrott.com.
