BLOUNTVILLE, TENNESSEE – Harry Bratton, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.

He was born in Castlewood, Virginia; son of the late Stuart and Bessie Collier Bratton. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Grace Couch, Estelle Ackerman, Pat McIntyre, and Sue Curtis; and three brothers, Woodrow Bratton, Jim Bratton, and Paul Bratton.

He was a member of the United States Navy, where he served during the Korean War. He retired from Pittston Coal Company. Harry attended Elizabeth Chapel Church in Blountville, Tennessee.

He is survived by his three sons, Joseph "Joey" H. Bratton, II and wife, Rebecca, Tracy "Trace" M. Bratton and wife, Becky, and David "Dave" S. Bratton and wife, Lisa; mother of the boys, Mary G. Bratton; six grandchildren, Kasey Jo Bratton, Trace Bratton, II and wife, Sarah, Cory Bratton and wife, Madalyn, Wesley Bratton, Olivia Ferrell and husband, Ryan, and Adam Bratton; seven great-grandchildren, Tripp Hagie, Phoenix Hagie, Elizabeth "Elie" Bratton, Mary C. Bratton, Calvin Bratton, Brooks Bratton, and Olivia Bratton; longtime companion, Jenny Hileman and her daughter, Lisa McMurray and husband, Tim; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services and Interment for Harry Bratton will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 11, 2021, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum - Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Myers Vicars and Rev. Paul Sheaffer officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery, leaving at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
