Lester Rome was the owner of Rome's Lounge on Grand Isle Louisiana when he was reported missing by his family in January 1984. Two years later, and 335 miles away, in April 1986, human remains were found in a well located on private land in the town of Many Louisiana. Those remains were known as "The Man In The Well" for 35 years. In 2021 the remains of the Man In The Well were identified as Lester Rome.
