ASHEBORO - Wiley P. Akins, 70, of Tory Lane died Sunday at Randolph Hospital.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Biscoe Cemetery in Biscoe.

A native of South Carolina, he was a retired pulp wood dealer.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Vera White Akins; daughter, Miss Vera Lynn Akins of Seagrove; son, Marshall Wiley Akins of Randleman; stepsons, Everett Lee Chriscoe, Hal Craig Chriscoe, both of Asheboro; sisters, Mrs. Annie May Richardson, Mrs. Rachel Johnson, Mrs. Peggy Ann Calicutt, all of Asheboro; brothers, John Akins of Asheboro, James Akins of Trinity, Junior Akins of Sophia, Claude Akins of Asheboro; seven grandchildren.

The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today.
