PONCA CITY -- Services for former Ardmore resident Floy Coe Abbott, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Ponca City. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Abbott died Oct. 17, 1997, in Ponca City. She was born Oct. 11, 1906, at Overbrook, Indian Territory, to W.D. and Cora Nolen Coe.
Reared in Overbrook and Ardmore, she married A.F. "Jack" Abbott and moved to Ponca City in 1950. She was preceded in death by her husband in November 1980; three brothers, Arba, Clint and Royce Coe; and two sisters, Mae Miller and Fern Johns.
She is survived by a daughter, Cleta Yeatts, Ardmore; two sons, Ambassador S.L. Abbott, Coronado, Calif., and Bill Abbott, Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Elvis Dustin, Gainesville, Texas; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
