After graduating from Michigantown High School, Ted obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from Ball State University. He was a math teacher in Logansport, Royal Center and Linton schools. Later, he retired to Lafayette, IN where he lived for 30 years. Ted enjoyed playing euchre with his friends and loved Hershey's chocolate bars with almonds and Krispy Kreme donuts.
Ted is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Bowen and Herbert Bowen; and five sisters - Mildred Pence, Susan Richey, Jean Aaron, Shirley Adams and Judith Unger.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, beginning at 11:00 AM until the start of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Genda Funeral Home. Rev. Melvin Kuntzman will be officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.
