Obituary for Mrs. Tammy Parker Abbott
Mrs. Tammy Parker Abbott, 55, passed away on March 2, 2022
at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. Tammy was born on June 5,
1966, in West Point, to Arthur and Louise Parker. Tammy was a member of
Spring Valley Baptist Church in Mathiston, where she served as the
church Secretary and Pianist. She was an avid Dollar General shopper and
a great cook. She enjoyed making pepper jelly from home grown peppers
and all facets of homemaking and crafts. She especially enjoyed being
able to homeschool her children. She was a loving wife, mother,
daughter, sister, and friend. She married Clifton Abbott on June 17,
1995, at Lone Oak Baptist Church in West Point. She was preceded in
death by a infant child.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 6, 2022, 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Calvert
Funeral Home in West Point. Funeral services will be on Monday, March 7,
2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Lone Oak Baptist Church in West Point with Bro.
Charles White officiating and assisted by Bro. Stan Adams. Burial will
follow in the Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery in Montpelier.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the
arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Clifton Abbott of Mantee: two daughters,
Hannah and Gracee Abbott, one son, C.J. Abbott, all of Mantee: her
parents, Arthur and Louise Parker of Montpelier, and one brother, Bro.
John Parker (Nina) of West Point.

Pallbearers will be C.J. Abbott, Clay McCarter, Wayne Nickels, Brad
Parker, Kerry Sims, and Jeff Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Cunningham, Shawn Morris, Scott
Parker, and John Tollison.

Memorials may be made to Palestine Cemetery, C/O Mrs. Roxie Brock, 9675
Joe Stevens Road, Cedar Bluff, MS 39741.
