Funeral services for Mrs. Timie Lerlean Abernathy, 80, Athens, were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Burl Grubb and Bro. Al Rudolph officiating. Burial followed in the O'Neal Cemetery.
Mrs. Abernathy died October 20 at the Athens Nursing Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. W. L. Lawler of Athens; six sons, Billy, Willard, Van and Robert Abernathy, all of Athens, Kenneth Abernathy of Columbia, S.C., and Louie Abernathy of Lawton, Okla.; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel King and Mrs. Rossie Williams, both of Athens.
Mrs. Abernathy was a member of the Church of Christ.
