Doris completed nurses training at St. Mary's in LaSalle, IL. She later attended Bible School to become a Missionary. She married Paul Aardsma on August 16, 1952 and had four children... Carl, Lois, Doug, and Richard. She was a published writer and poet, and created many word puzzles for various publications.
