William John Aaron "Hank", 66, of Wilmington, NC, died Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at his residence.

Hank was born on May 23, 1956 in Ketchikan, Ak, the son of Gloria Mae Jadlocki and the late William Oscar Aaron, Jr.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his son, Asheton John Aaron; and a sister, Cynthia Kozak. Hank's extended family here in Wilmington, "Pa and Ma Cook", David Cook, Jim Cook, Bill Cook and Tom Cook. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins from Kent Island, MD.

Hank was a member of the class of 1974 from New Hanover High School. After high school he served in the United States Air Force for four years. Immediately after his Air Force service he began a successful forty-year career working in the Nuclear Industry. Hank recently retired from Duke Energy in August 2021.

Hank loved golf, football, cooking out, just chilling with family and friends, and going out of his way to help others. He was married to Nan Gore of Longs, SC (mother of Asheton John Aaron) for twenty-three years and maintained that friendship until the present.

The family asks that In lieu of flowers you make donations in Hank's memory to Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue, www.goldenrescuenc.org/memorials or by mail; NRGRR, PO Box 37156, Raleigh, NC 27627. Hank loved his golden retrievers, Princess Keisha of Masonboro and Lady Kayla of Wendover. They will be buried with him, forever as his loyal dogs.

Hank was the kind of father who would be there for you no matter what time, no matter how far, no matter what the cost was. His love for his son was infinite, unconditional, and continuous even through death. All of his love, wisdom, kindness and compassion will live on in his son and throughout the world.

Hank touched many lives with his infectious smile and jokes. He leaves behind too many friends to mention. He was loved by all and will be missed.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Andrews Mortuary Market Chapel. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm prior to the service.
