Mary Sharon (Neumann) Adams was born August 3rd, 1943, in Rural Kiowa County Kansas and passed from this life on December 3, 2022 at Kingman Hospital surrounded by large loving family. She was the 6th of 8 children of Lester Neumann and Gladys Hadley Neumann. Mary attended Mullinville schools, where she was a proud member of the marching band, playing percussion. She graduated in 1961 and moved to Pratt Kansas.

On July 28, 1962 Mary wed Thomas New in Pratt Kansas. This union blessed them with Cheryl, Cinda, Cecil, and Carolyn. On August 5th, 1981, Tommy passed away and was laid to rest in Houston's Veterans Cemetery. On October 31, 1981 Mary and her children moved to Kansas. October 24, 1986, she Married Herbert Adams in Kingman Kansas. With this marriage, Mary gained 3 more children to love, Gary, Dawn and Billy. Making them a family of 9.

Mary was a long-time resident of Kingman. Mary attended Kingman Christian Church where she dearly loved her church family. She was a beloved cook for Kingman Manor and the Kingman Hospital for many years. Mary looked forward to any time she spent with her family, and she did this often. Mary enjoyed cooking for family, especially our beloved spotson, and for friends and community and church events.

Mary was an enthusiastic (ok let just say it FANATIC) fan of the Kansas Jayhawks and the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching games with her kids and grandkids. Her true love was watching her children and grandchildren in their various sports or activities.

In her spare time, Mary enjoyed camping at Wilson Lake, fishing, tending to her flowers and playing cards games with friends and family. Mary was also an avid reader which is evident by the many boxes of books in her basement. If you ever came to her house, you would also know she was a collector of bells! She could talk to you for a very long time about the hundreds of them she had acquired over her life time.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Pike, Cinda (Alan) Keeling, Dawn Adams, Carolyn (Robert) McHaley, and son William (Cheli) Adams and her daughter in loves Noni New and Becky Adams. Sisters Linda Dunham and Maurine Sutton. 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by husband, Herbert Adams, parents Lester and Gladys Neumann, Siblings Bertha Neumann, Ellen Zimmerman, Walter Neumann, Kenneth Neumann, and Richard Neumann. Precious sons Gary Adams and Cecil New, her first husband Thomas New and her beloved Shih Tzu Cheyenne.

The family will greet visitors at Livingston Funeral home on Tuesday, December 6 from 5-7 PM.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 7 at 10:00 AM at Kingman Christian Church followed by burial at Hoosier Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the church following the burial.

Donations can be made to Kingman Christian Church or to the Cecil New Memorial Athletes Fund.
