Mr. Aaronson was born March 7, 1921, in Aledo, the son of Charles Aaronson and Maude Chapman Aaronson. He married Cleo Benson. He later married Robin Johnson.
He was a self-employed painter. He enjoyed woodworking.
He was a WW II Army veteran.
Survivors include daughters, Teresa Jordan, Milan, Candy Garcia, Rock Island, Missy Brady, Bluford, Ill.; sons, Bill Aaronson, Rock Island, Arthur Jr., Davenport; stepdaughter, Melody Youssi, Mendota, Ill.; a stepson, Michael Benson, Milan; 10 grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Sterling, Topeka, Kan., Ethel Ludwick, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Victor and Raymond Aaronson.
