Bobby Jirald Gaither age 78, of Locust Fork, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. Gaither is survived by his wife of 55 years Sarah Gaither, his son John Gaither(Shannon), his daughter Janet Gaither(Jim Freeman), sister Bonnie Fravel, his grandchildren John Gaither II(Kim), Ashely Oser(Dustin), Josh Gaither(Shelly Bailey), Anna Freeman and Lily Freeman, great grandchildren Heaven Grace Givens, Ellie Mae Gaither, Waylon Gaither and Dawson Gaither, he was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Edna Barnett Gaither, his sisters Vera Mae, Eileen, Betty Joe, Della Dean and Sharon and his brothers Tommy and Jackie.
The family will receive friends at Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St. Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Saturday, May 6th, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at 11:00 am. in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Coefield officiating. Burial to follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Dallas, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Mike Crawford, Jackie Gaither, Toney Hutchins, Tim Abbott, John Gaither and Josh Gaither.
Mr. Gaither was retired as a Boilermaker in the steel industry. He was a pottery maker and was owner and operator of Gaither Folk Art Pottery. Mr. Gaither loved his family very much and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
