SHARON GAITHER PRIVETTE, age 57, of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on October 1, 2012. She was born September 23, 1955, the last of nine children in Jefferson County; the daughter of the late William Clifton and Edna Barnett Gaither. She was preceded in death by sisters Ilene Crawford, Della Dean Abbott and Jodie Palermo; nephews John William Fravel, Jeffrey Gaither Allen Crawford and Robert Hutcherson. Sharon was warm, caring and devoted. She recognized and enjoyed beauty and simplicity in nature, children and animals. She identified with the less fortunate, especially those who could not speak for themselves. She fought the good fight and finished the race. She now enjoys a crown of righteousness. Surviving are her husband, Martin Lewis Privette; daughters, Paige and Hope Privette; grandson Braylon; sisters: Bonnie Laney and Vera Mae Thomas; brothers Tommy, Bobby and Jacky Gaither. Funeral services held at The Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland, Alabama on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Cindy Privette officiating. Interment will be in the Bethlehem United Methodist Cemetery. Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home directing.
