Darlene Holbrook Abdo, 51, of Tazewell, TN, formerly of Evarts departed this life on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Born September 21, 1972 in Harlan County, she had lived here until five years ago when she moved to Tazewell. Darlene was a homemaker and believed in the Christian faith.
She is preceded in death by her former husband and lifelong friend, Jason Naper; her parents, Ethal Adams Holbrook and Hensel Holbrook; four brothers, Ronnie, Joe, Harmey and Frazier Holbrook; and one sister, Evelene Holbrook.
Survivors include five children, Josh (Tiffany) Napier, Baxter; Adam (Cassie) Napier, Harlan; Aaron Napier, Tazewell, TN; Louis (Sam) Abdo IV, Bowling Green, OH; and Christina Abdo Perrysburg, OH; one sister, Irene Jordan, Arizona; three brothers, Delmer (Jeanette) Holbrook, Coxton; Paul Holbrook, Harlan; and Jimmy Holbrook, Eastbrook; and nine grandchildren, JoJo Napier, Izzy Napier, AJ Napier, Aiden Napier, Maddie Napier, Zach Abdo, Leo Abdo, Alana Abdo and Peyton Abdo and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends, including close family friends Melvin and Betty Brock.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 11 am until 1 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 1 pm in the Chapel.
