She attended Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was employed with Macon County Head Start, M&S Food Service and Skipper John's.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rosa Mae Chastain and Annie Faye Chastain and 2 brothers, Leonard Chastain and Jesse Chastain.

2 Sons: Korachee Chastain and Jarvis Chastain.
2 Sisters: Rosa Dean Chastain and Lanis Ransom(Donald).
2 Brothers: James Chastain and Jerry Chastain.
1 Aunt: Mary Lee Stephenson.
