Mr Benjamin Abbott passed away at the family home in Gas this morning at 6:00 o'clock after a long illness. He suffered a stroke or paralysis in September and has been in very poor health since that time. He has been critically ill for the past two weeks.

Mr. Abbott married Arie Beals in Pottawattamie County, Iowa on Apr 19, 1868. By 1871, the family had moved to Kansas
