Leonard J. Wadena was born Nov. 17, 1924, in White Earth, Minn., the son of George and Josephine Wadena. He married Sylvia Hunt Oct. 7, 1963, in Minneapolis. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and worked in building construction in Minneapolis.
Survivors are his wife; sons, Louie, Everett, Wash; daughters, Jodi (Mrs. Bob) Biskey, Blaine, Minn., and Ethel Wadena and Lynette (Mrs. Joe) Londo, Naytahwaush; stepsons, Bill Wadena and Stephen Hunt, Minneapolis, and Donald, Naytahwaush; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grand-children; brothers, Lawrence, Bemidji, and Alrick, Naytahwaush, and sister, Georgina Accobee, Naytahwaush.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Kenneth Hunt; two brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Samuel Memorial Episcopal Church, Naytahwaush.
Visitation: After 5 p.m. today and the hour before services in the church.
Burial: Free Gospel Cemetery, Naytahwayush.
