Carroll Allen Munson, of East Wenatchee, passed away on May 30, 2007. Carroll was born to Perle and Ella Allen in Haines, AK on November 18, 1928.
She graduated High School in Haines, AK. After graduation, Carroll moved to Washington and attended Washington State College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. It was at WSU that Carroll met her husband, Chuck Munson.
After college graduation, Carroll and Chuck moved to Salem, OR where they had three children. After twelve years in Salem, they moved their family to East Wenatchee. Carroll was a homemaker and an active community volunteer. Carroll loved traveling to her hometown of Haines and to Ireland to visit relatives and learn more about her family history. Her many passions included reading, learning, genealogy, bird watching and especially taking care of her children and grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends and family. Surviving are her husband, Chuck Munson; son, Mike Munson and wife, Meri of Snohomish; daughter, Vicki Munson Pfeifer and husband, John of Lynnwood; daughter, Nancy Munson Hatzenbihler and husband, John of East Wenatchee; six grandchildren, Leah, Cassie, Sarah, Miranda, Susan, and Megan; two great-grandchildren, Erika and Alicia; and sister, Florence Holmes. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bob; and her sisters, Cletus and Ellen. One of Carroll's favorite quotes: An Old Irish Blessing - May the road rise to meet you.
