- Grant City - Mrs Abuhl, formerly of this place died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Otto Behrend of Auburn on Sunday morning and will be buried here today.
Carroll Herald - Wednesday, December 2, 1903 - Magdaline Moor was born in Cantón Berne, Switzerland, March 16, 1828. Died November 22, 1903.
She grew to womanhood in her native land, and united with the German Lutheran church in infancy, and remained steadfast in that faith through life. She united in marriage to Ulrich Abuhl in 1852, he dying Sept 6, 1896.
To them 10 children were born, 6 of whom are living vis: Sarah Lyons of Carroll, Ia; William Abuhl of Deadwood, South Dakota; John J of San Francisco, CA; May Baird of Brunswick, NE; Louisa Toop and Bertha Behrend of Auburn, Iowa. Interment in Grant City cemetery, Nov. 24.
