She was a native of Jones County, a retired George County school teacher and a member of the Methodist faith. She died unexpectedly at George County Hospital on April 26.
Survivors include her husband (now deceased Phil Aaron); a sister (now deceased Florence (Oscar) Butler); and nieces and nephews.
Other survivors include great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Luther and Maggie K Carter; and a sister Bernice Andodell Robinson.
Services were conducted by Rev. H. J. Hedgepeth. Interment was held in Magnolia Cemetery with George County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
