Helen Potter of Carlsbad, NM died unexpectedly on Monday evening 3 Nov 2008.
Helen Potter was born 19 Sep 1932 in Amherst, TX to Arthur Glen and Frances Marie (Walden) Aaron. Her early years were spent in Littlefield, TX and at the age of 10 the family moved to Richmond, CA. She was a graduate of Colton High School in Colton, CA. She married don Potter on 4 Nov 1961 and together they blended their families. In 1968 they moved to Carlsbad, NM where they raised their family of four. She was a homemaker and mother and also worked outside the home part of that time. For several years she worked as a waitress for the Stevens Inn retiring in 1986.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1966 and her son Michael Wade Potter in 2001.
Survivors include husband, Donald W. Potter of Carlsbad, NM; daughters Lynda Zielinski and husband Greg of Las Vegas, NV; Glenda Yzaguirre of Vista, CA; son Curtis Potter and wife Carla of Hobbs, NM; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; mother Marie Aaron of Carlsbad, NM; brothers Alton Aaron and wife Betty of Carlsbad; Stanley Aaron of Carlsbad; Jack Aaron and wife Velma of Albuquerque, NM; sister Nancy Garner and husband Wayne of Mayhill, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
