Mrs. Funke was born March 31, 1924, in Sioux City, Iowa, a daughter of the late Gerald R., and Bessie M. (Farrin) Comar. She was employed as a nanny in Austin, Texas, was an avid reader, and enjoyed knitting and country music.
Mrs. Funke is survived by two daughters, Carol Storm and her husband, Frank of York, and Crystal Wrede and her husband, Ken of Monticello, Ind.; four sons, Charles Funke, III of Columbus, Ohio, Gerald Funke of Hanover, Christopher Funke and his wife, Judy of Austin, Texas, and Timothy Funke of York; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Ellen Nora; and three sisters.
Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
