Mrs. W.K. Abercrombie, the wife of one of Malta's prominent business men, passed quietly away at her home Thursday, February 8, 1900. Deceased, while ailing for several weeks, had not been confined to her bed until three days before her death, which was caused by Bright's disease. Mrs. Ambercrombie was born February 28, 1856 at Springtown, Benton county, Arkansas. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.W. Winterburn of Albion, Friday, February 9, 1900 from the late residence of the deceased and interment made in the burial ground at Malta. In the death of this estimable lady, Malta, the husband and eleven children lose a friend whose place can never be filled and they have the sympathy of the entire community.
