Joann Cozzy Aaron, 53, died Tuesday of an apparent heart attack at her home in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Aaron had been employed the past 28 years at Allison Transmission Division of General Motors, currently in engineering specifications department.

She was born Sept 18, 1937, in Rockville, a daughter of Joseph Cozzy Sr and Ida Mae (Silliman) Cozzy, both deceased.

She had been married twice, first to Dean Board and then to John Aaron. She was divorced.

She was reared and educated in Boone County, first residing in Perry Township and then Lebanon. She was graduated with the class of 1954 from Lebanon high SChool and had worked parttime at the office of John Bach, D.D.S. during high school. Following graduation, she worked as an office assistant in the Lebanon Junior high SChool for then principal Drubelle Stephenson.

She was known to be an immaculate person in her dress and in her home.

Surviving are a son Gregory A. Board of Barstown, California; sisters Evelyn Rady of Hudson, Florida, Grace Dulin of Indianapolis, and Ruth Cozzy of Lebanon; and one granddaughter Jami Jo Board of Zionsville.

Preceding her in death were a son Jeffrey D. Board, and brothers James R. and Joseph Cozzy Jr.
