Obituary:
Edmunds – Julia Burke Fenderson, 76, died unexpectedly on May 14, 2009 at a Bangor Hospital. Julia was born in Plantation No. 14, on January 1, 1933 to Everett and Florence (Preston) Burke; she lived most of her life in Edmunds with her late husband, Harold Fenderson where they raised their family. Some of Julia's favorite hobbies were reading, walking, shopping and spending time with her family; she also loved to go out line dancing in Florida while living there with her sister Marion. In addition to her parents and husband, Julia was predeceased by a son Donald Fenderson; 3 sisters, Grace, Florence, and Jesse; and 4 brothers, Millard, Malcolm, James and Lewis . She is survived by a daughter, Belinda Trott, and her husband Ted, of Eastport; 5 sons, Bobby Fenderson and his wife Marilyn of Edmunds, Alan Fenderson and his wife Valerie, of Charlotte, Malcolm Fenderson and his wife Marion, of South Portland, Dana Fenderson and his companion Vickie, of Edmunds and Terry Fenderson of Edmunds; a sister, Marion Winthrow, of Eastport; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Julia will be sadly missed. Visiting hours will be held at Mays Funeral Home-Flagg Chapel, 72 High ST., Eastport, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday May 19, the funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, Pastor Robert Hinton officiating. Burial will follow at Dennysville Cemetery.
