Carol Jean Adams, 67, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at her home in Ulysses.

She was born Oct. 6, 1941, in Hugoton, to Leslie and Arlean Mueller Wulfemeyer. She graduated from Moscow High School in 1959 and attended Emporia State Teachers College for two years.

A homemaker, Mrs. Adams had lived in Ulysses since 1969. She taught Sunday school at Patterson Avenue Church of God, enjoyed tatting, sewing, photography and tending to her yard and was an accomplished bobbin lace maker.

On Aug. 6, 1961, she married Donald W. Adams in Moscow. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Michael Adams of Whitsett, N.C., Gregory Lynn Adams of Aurora, and Stephen Eugene Adams of Oklahoma City; a brother, Wayne Wulfemeyer of Hugoton; two sisters, LeVeta Longley of Springfield, Mo., and Linda Novak of Milton, Wash.; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Anthony "Tony" Brent.

Graveside service was at Hugoton Cemetery.
