ABBOTT, James Washington --- Age 80, Route 2, Kingston, died 6:55 a.m. Sunday at his home. Survived by his wife, Ida Belle Wise Abbott, three sons: James Esco, Ira Earnest and Serel Leonard Abbott, Kingston; daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Geneva Louise) Jenkins, Kingston; brother, Rufus Abbott, Maryville; four sisters: Mrs. Minnie Krouse, Potlatch, Idaho; Mrs. Tom (Margaret Lee) Bailey and Mrs. Frank (Laura) Hines, Lenoir City; and Mrs. Robert (Addie Lillian) Harris, Smyrna, Ga.; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The body is at the family residence. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday Mars Hill Baptist Church, Rev. J. D. Ridenour and Rev. Dewey Thomas officiating. Interment in church cemetery. Kyker Harriman in charge.
