Cedar Creek John, the only welcome Chinaman in Mineral county, died Monday morning at the Ordean Hotel. He was an early settler of this county, spending years placer mining on Cedar Creek. According to papers found in his possession he was about 90 years of age. For many years he has been a county charge. (Published March 16, 1922 in The Mineral Independent)
