Frances Abbott, 94 of Decatur passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Woodcrest Nursing Center. Frances was born on March 23, 1912 to Nelson & Lucy (Bright) Abbott in Wells Co. She worked for Schafer Glove Co. for 40 years and retired in 1979.
Frances was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, its Builders Sunday school class, Martha Circle and was a former chancel choir member.
Frances is survived by several nieces and nephews including: Mrs. Fred (Patsy) Bittner of Decatur, Wendell Abbott of Decatur and Sharon Abbott of Monroe. Preceded Frances in death are her parents and 3 brothers Clarence, Melvin and Clark Abbott.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 14th at 10:30 am also at the funeral home. Rev. Fuhrman Miller will be officiating and burial will be in Decatur Cemetery. Memorials are to the Church.
