Rosemary C. Abbott, 66, of Gladwin, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Gladwin following a long illness. Born June 13, 1935 in Detroit, she was the daughter of Patrick and Margaret DeSantis. She lived in Gladwin County since this year and previously lived in Whitmore Lake. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her mother, Margaret DeSantis of Warren; two sons, Patrick and wife Diane of Gladwin, and Gerald and wife Alice of Abbott, Fla.; three grandsons, Anthony Abbott of Gladwin, Jerry Abbott of Florida, and Jason and wife Angie Porter of Novi; one granddaughter, Lorianne and husband Jason Butler of N.J.; one great-granddaughter, Courtney Porter of Novi; two brothers, George and wife Diane DeSantis of St. Clair Shores, and Charles and wife Darlene DeSantis of Warren; two sisters, Barbara and husband Leslie Trelfa of Allenton, and Jannett and husband Dennis Jazwiecki of Maumee, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Edenville with Deacon Frank Alex officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be made to be used according to the wishes of the family. Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, was in charge of the arrangements.
