MANTEO — Sibyl Christine Taylor Ahearn, 83, formerly of Manteo, died Sept. 10, 2002. Mrs. Ahearn was born in Northampton County, N.C. She was a retired home economics school teacher and member of the Manteo Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Dianne "Dee'' A. McLaughlin; two sons, Michael "Mike'' T. Ahearn and John William Ahearn; a sister, Nettie Alice T. Moody of Seaboard, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wilkinson Church of Christ, Pantego, N.C.
