Miss Pearl Abbott, 69, died March 14 at the Huey P. Long Memorial Hospital in Pineville and services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church with interment in the Atlanta Cemetery.

Last rites were conducted by the Rev. Grafton Shaw and burial was under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Miss Abbott was born in Arkansas in 1883 and was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Janie Pinder of Shepherd, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews, one stepson, Will Sharbano; one stepdaughter, Julia McDonald of Shreveport; five step grandsons and four stepdaughters.

Pallbearers were A. R. Kyburz of Houston, Texas; Otis Holland, Tritis Ferguson, Retzell Longino, Bill Davis, and J. W. Feazell.
