OBITUARY

THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT
Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, August 15, 1918

J. A. ABRAHAMSON

Mr. J. A. Abrahamson was born in Sweden the 20th day of February, 1832, and died August 7, 1918, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 17 days.

On the 31st of December, 1875 he married Miss Fredrika Lindstrom, and in the year 1881 emigrated to this country and settled down northeast of town.

This marriage was blessed with five children, 3 sons, C.O., J. M., and Gust Walter, and two daughters, Mrs. Esther Ballard and Mrs. Laura Duckworth, who together, with a bereaved wife and other relatives survive to mourn their loss.

Mr. Abrahamson was a kind husband and father and a good neighbor, and he made an early profession of faith in Jesus Christ and joined the Baptist denomination.

He was buried from the Swedish Mission church on Thursday afternoon in the Chariton cemetery, Rev. A. H. Jacobson officiating.
