PORTLAND - Franklin Glen "Frankie" Adams, 76, of Kennewick, Wash., died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at Portland Adventist Medical Center in Portland. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at Haystack Cemetery in Spray.

Mr. Adams was born Aug. 4, 1933, in Bend to Oscar Lee and Ruth Matilda (Webb) Adams. He was raised in Spray from the age of nine. He graduated from Spray High School and attended Whitworth College in Spokane, Wash. He joined the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. In 1958 he married Patricia May Brisbois in Spray.

He worked in logging, construction, and farming for a time before attending Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, graduating with his associate's degree. He worked for Wilcox Furniture for one year before moving to Kennewick, Wash., and working at Hanford as an electronic instrument specialist. He retired in 1989.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Adams of Kennewick, Wash.; daughters Rebecca Williams of Aloha and Margie Adams of Richland, Wash.; brothers James Ray Adams of Hermiston, Odell Marion Adams and Bobby Eugene Adams, both of Spray, and O. L. Adams of Heppner; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lloyd, Clifford, Clifton, and Ross Adams; and sisters Dorothy Adams and Juanita Sanders.
