Services for Mrs. Ada Abbott, of Belzoni will be held at 2 Tuesday afternoon at Mt. Pisgah Church in Carroll County. Burial will be in the Church cemetery with Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Abbott died at 6:15 Sunday evening at her home after a short illness. She was 71.
Born in Alabama, Mrs. Abbott had lived in Carroll County for 15 years before moving to Belzoni seven years ago. She was a Baptist.
She leaves five sons, Elton Abbott of Vian, Okla., Arlie Abbott of Chicago, Eulas Abbott of Helena, Ark., Albert Lee Abbott of Montgomery, Herbert A. Abbott of Selma, Ala., six daughters, Mrs. George M. Little of Greenwood, Mrs. Lena Duncan of Dumas, Ark., Mrs. Edith Phillips of Belzoni, Mrs. Pauline Weisback of Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Ross of Belzoni, Mrs. Betty Lou Carter, of Jackson, 44 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
