Services for Mildred L. Estes, 85, Madill, formerly of Ada, are 10 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Sutton will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Estes died Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at an Ardmore nursing home. She was born April 18, 1920 at Pickett, Oklahoma to Eugene Shaw and Bertha Alice Cutting Farr. She lived in Ada most of her life. She married Thomas W. Estes Sept. 7, 1945. He died June 1, 1954 at Ada. Mrs. Estes operated a serve-yourself laundry in Ada and was also a housekeeper at Ballard Nursing Home. Mrs. Estes was a member of Fittstown Assembly of God Church. Survivors include a daughter Sandra Gurley and husband Dan, Eufaula; two sons, Dan Estes and wife Janette, Liberal, Kansas, and Tom Estes and wife Thelma, Mannsville; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Farr, Fresno, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven sisters. Bearers will be Dan M. Gurley Jr., Terry L. Estes, Robert N. Estes, Wesley A. Gurley, Gary D. Estes and Mark E. Gurley.
