Allen married Josephine Taylor on 16 Nov 1882 in Choctaw County, Alabama. Allen and Josephine had the following children: Mary Victoria; John Sidney "Sid"; Henderson Dillard; Allen Chub; Jason Thomas "Jase"; Hattie Virginia; Joseph Houston; Sabe Ambrick "Jack"; and Lula Grace.
After Josephine's death in 1912, Allen married Eula Lee McDowell. They were married on 11 May 1913 in Choctaw County, Alabama. Allen and Eula had the following children: Gladys; Mac; Woodrow Wilson; Hugh; and Laura.
At the time of Allen's death he was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Josephine; one daughter, Mary Victoria (Abston) Lewis; two infant grandchildren and an infant granddaughter; and sisters, Mary Abston and Martha Ann (Abston) Young. He was survived by his second wife; thirteen children; eighteen grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.
