She died Saturday night July 23, 1983, at Blanchard, La. after a long illness. Mrs. Dowty, born in Shelby County, Texas and a resident of Montgomery all of her life, was a housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Dowty of Montgomery; two son[s], Elton Aaron of Kansas City, Mo., Timothy Aaron of Almagorda, N.M.; one daughter, Mrs. Laverne Thornton of Shreveport, La.; two brothers, N. T. Adams of Shreveport and L. E. Adams of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Morgan Rees of Richardson, Texas, Mrs. P. V. Webb of Shreveport, Mrs. John Doxey of Shreveport and Mrs. R. U. Johnson of Mansfield, La.; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
