Mrs. Cora E. McFarland, 64, wife of Eddie R. McFarland, died unexpectedly at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 419 McBarnes Street.
She was born in Adams County Nov. 11, 1906, a daughter of John A. and Elizabeth Topp-Hendricks, and was married to Eddie R. McFarland Nov. 24, 1927.
Mrs. McFarland was a member of the St. Paul Missionary Church.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. David G. (Edith) Cole of Decatur, and Mrs. Wendell (Imogene) Abbott of Decatur Route 3; two sisters, Mrs. Doyle (Josephine) Hendricks of Dayton, O., and Mrs. Martin (Alice) Murphy of New Corydon; four brothers, Herman Hendricks of Gary, Charles Hendricks of Berne, and Elmer and Richard Hendricks, both of Decatur; and 10 grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers are deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Missionary Church, with Rev. Robert Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at the Winteregg-Linn Funeral Home from 7 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Sunday. The body will lie in state at the church from 12 noon until time of the services.
