The Eidsness Funeral Home of Brookings was in charge of arrangements. Wallace G. Aanderud was born on 16 Aug 1924 in Benson County to Walter and Gilma Hellerud Aanderud. He attended Benson County schools. He was a WWII veteran and received a bachelor's degree in 1950 from NDSU. On 18 Jun 1950 he married June Norheim of Maddock. He taught veteran on-the-farm training at Cando from 1950 to 1954 and vocational agriculture classes in Rolla from 1954 to 1956. He received a master's degree from NDSU in 1960 and a doctorate degree from Oklahoma State University in 1964. He retired in 1985 from SDSU after working twenty-two years as a professor economics and farm management specialist. Survivors include his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Annette Luthy of Grand Forks and Joan and Steve Bailey of Ham Lake, MN; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dora Aanderud of Hutchinson, MN; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marian and Howard Jenson of St. Paul, MN and Claribel and Howard Lysne of Moorhead, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant children.
