Barbara Jean McKee 89, passed away Monday, October 21st, in Wichita. She was born February 2, 1924 in Abilene the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Marshall) Hooper. Growing up in Abilene she attended local schools and graduated from Abilene High School with the class of 1942 . On September 13, 1944 she was married to Olney McKee. Barbara and Olney lived in Abilene until 1952 when they moved to Wichita. Barbara was employed by Ed Brown Patent Attorney in Wichita until retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Olney, a daughter Barbara Sue Abel, three sisters Marciline Hooper in infancy, Mary Mildred Shamis and Maxine Engle.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 26, at the Danner Funeral Home, Rev. Elias Tolentino officiating with cremation following the service. The family will receive friends 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Friday, October 25th, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contribution in her name be given to the Abilene First Christian Church. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
