John Aalbregtse
SCHOOLCRAFT John Aalbregtse, 87, of 414 N. Grand St., died Monday in Battle Creek's Community Hospital, where he had been a patient three weeks. He was born in Oostburg, Netherlands, and was a longtime Schoolcraft resident. He owned and operated the Home Bakery for 37 years and retired in 1959. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. He is survived by his wife, the former Suzanna Ghysels; sons, John and Burton of Kalamazoo, Walter of Western Springs, Ill., and Gary Aalbregtse of Battle Creek; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Haffenden of Battle Creek; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Truesdale-Robertson Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Schoolcraft Presbyterian Church or the Schoolcraft Ambulance Association.
