Margaret married John Adam Abe of Mineral County, WV at some point between April 20, 1865 (when he was paroled from the 11th Virginia Cavalry at the end of the Civil War) and their first child was born on September 16, 1867. It is known that they resided in both Martinsburg, WV and Cumberland, MD while Adam was working for the railroad.
It is not known where they were living when she died. Stories passed down say that she died in childbirth but no records have been found.
Margaret's headstone is the only original commercial one in the cemetery. All others are unmarked field stones. A couple other commercial stones have been added recently.
Margaret's headstone and footstone have been broken off at ground level and the headstone has also been broken in the middle. The inscription shows wear but is readable.
The stone pieces were found lying against a tree. I could not determine the exact position of the grave.
